Vintage Primitive Sumatran hand-carved animal figure dice (Dadu), set of 3:

This is a unique and charming set of three hand-carved, wood dadu (gambling dice) from Northern Sumatra in Indonesia.
The engravings (turtle, frog, fish, eel, lobster and crab) are the same on each die. The engravings were filled with crushed shell, which has started to fall out; but the whimsical animal figures are still quite clear - as the photos show.
These were purchased from an antique dealer (Aris Antiques) in Bali over 25 years ago.
Each of the dice measures 1 3/8\".
