Vintage Pub Sign WHITBREAD LADY JANE English British Irish Tavern Trade Sign:

This is a vintage hand painted pub or tavern sign, I believe from England. It\'s roughly 50\" tall and 38\" wide not including the metal bracket. There is a metal bracket the goes along the top and about halfway down on both sides, and has arms on top with holes for hanging the sign.The outer frame is 2.5\" thick and made of wood. I believe the sign itself is painted on wood. It appears to be hand painted. There are minor variations in the artwork that indicated that it was done by hand. The paint is crackly and crazing in some spots, mainly around the edges, which indicates that it\'s fairly old - I\'m not sure how old - probably mid 1900\'s but that\'s just a guess.
Side one is shown in the first 7 photos. It\'s brighter than side 2.
Side two is shown in photos 8-12. You\'ll notice that side two has a more yellow tint, which I assume it because it was hung in a pub and the nicotine smoke gradually colored it yellow over the years. Side two has minor damage to the black wooden frame on the right side about halfway down. There are two areas where the black paint has been scraped off and the wood is exposed.
On both sides, there are imperfections in the paint and on the frame, minor scrapes and spots, a few random drops of paint (like when someone painted the room), and overall, just normal wear.
This is a rare old sign.
