Vintage RARE 1950\'s Herald M-115 crystal microphone Japanese old NOS in box:

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at agorgeous and rare crystal microphone from the 1950\'s era. This unique microphone was produced by a couple Japanese manufacturers including Archer but this one is the Herald model M-115 and it\'s in great working condition with original element and box.

I should start by explaining that this mic came in it\'s original sealed plastic bag which is part of the sale though not shown. I had to take the mic out to test it and add a 1/4 inch connector. The original cable had no such connector and had never been used. There are a few small scuffs on the exterior of the plastic mic from sliding around for decades but they are very minor. Again, this mic had never been used until the other day. It was N.O.S until I took it out for testing.

This mic was an early Japanese microphone that sold in the U.S out of Chicago Illinois in the 1950\'s though it was manufactured in Japan. The mic has a strong 1940\'s deco, aerodynamic influence. The body is all plastic except for the aluminum piece that wraps around the front to the rear. A very cool and unique design. The mic was only sold for a few years which is why you see so few of them. The box is included and looks just as nice as the mic.

The M-115 comes with it\'s original 5 foot cable and as i stated earlier a newer chromed Switchcraft 1/4 inch connector was added. The sound quality is excellent for a crystal mic and the impedance is \"high\" so this would make a great harp mic...otherwise an excellent display piece in any fine vintage microphone collection.

The mic is real tight. nothing loose inside or out. Joint mechanism works perfectly and provides plenty of tension.

This mic is appx 4 inches tall X 4 inches deep X 2 inches wide and it will screw onto any American vintage stand as the thread is the universal 5/8. The tightening screws on the sides work just as they should as well.

I\'d give the mic a solid 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. Again, very rare early Japanese crystal mic that will only increase in value if properly taken care of. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT PART OF THIS SALE.

As with all my vintage microphones...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that\'s fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and the item will be relisted. Domestic and foreignbuyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for
