WOW !!! This appears to be a VERY RARE pipe that actually has a portrait as a design !!! And it\'s not JUST a portrait - it\'s a portrait of KAISER WILHELM I. I was told when I was very young (40+ yrs. ago) that it belonged to someone high up in the Russian administration. Only they were able to get this type of design - maybe even the KAISER himself - but this is just by word of mouth.Stem is around 31\" - 32 \'. I have NOT SEEN any other porcelain pipes that featured a picture of a REAL PERSON !! This is quite old - but I have no idea how old. This is in no way - a mint product. The base looks to have been broken and repaired - shows yellowing on glue marks. The bowl (separate piece)has what appears to be a beginning of a crack in a \"Y\" shape going from the top to the middle on the side of it. It has not been repaired based on my observation. The stem seems to be in average condition, but appears to have no mouthpiece. The metal cover on the bowl seems to be in good condition as is the chain and ring holding them.
