Vintage RCA Victor Globe Trotter Portable Model 8Bx6 tube radio 1940s:

This is another radio from of my father\'s estate collection.My research tells me that it was made in 1948 or 49. The cabinet is in very good condition with no cracks in the bakelite ends or dents in the metal (there is a darker spot on the back metal portion but I didn\'t try to clean it off).

There is a tiny chip on the bottom edge UNDER the right side (see last photo). You do not see it when sitting on table.

The paint is worn on the front grill. The tuning knob does move the needle.

Theaccessory antenna is also missing.

The cord is brokenand unusable and there is no battery (but the cable is still there). The entire thing needs a good cleaning. It was stored outside in a waterproof shed. IDO NOT test these radios because I do not have the equipment or knowledge so these tube radios are sold AS IS. Please ask any questions BEFORE you offer, as I am unable to accept returns because of theestate situation, however, if I make a mistake, I will always be fair. Thanks for looking!!
