A Vintage egg by famed Silversmith Stuart Devlin.

Inside is a gilded silver wedge of cheese with a mouse appearing from it. The mouse has been oxidized and its tail appears out of one side of the cheese wedge and its oxidised head appears out of the other side. The mouse trembles/wobbles.

The egg has been hallmarked by the London Assay Office for silver and 1971, it has Stuart Devlin\'s sponsors\' mark and the base is stamped \"Made in England 200\". The egg is No 77 of a limited edition of 300 pieces. The egg is presented in the black with red silk and velvet lined Devlin box. The egg will sit upright and does not need a stand to enable it to be displayed. Pictures are of the actual item. Shipping and Handling includes insurance.

Stuart Devlin (born 9 October 1931) is a significant contemporary gold and silversmith. Australian-born, he has designed coins for countries around the world, and became especially well known as London-based designer of gold and silver collector\'s items in the 1970s and 80s.

In 1982, Devlin was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment as Goldsmith and Jeweller to Her Majesty the Queen. He was Prime Warden of the Goldsmith\'s Company 1996-97. Although he is no longer Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths he continues to work with the company (as well as taking various commissions)
