Vintage Rare USPS Merit Leather Mail Postal Carrier Messenger Briefcase Bag 1968:

I have a hard to find old vintage leather postal service mail carriers bag. The bag is manufactured by Merit and dated 1968. The bag does appear to have some repair work done to it and it is in pretty nice vintage condition. New leather was added to attach the flap to the bag and there is a patch at the bottom of the bag. All work appears to have been professionally done. One of the side panels does have a split in the leather (see picture). There is also some other split and loose seams. Please see the pictures to fully judge the condition of the bag. The leather itself is in nice supple condition and is not hard and stiff at all. These bags are getting harder and harder to come across so one in this condition is a rarity. The bag does not have a shoulder strap although I do have a brand new postal bag strap also currently listed. Check it out.
