Lladro #4855 \"Death of the Swan\"A classic Lladro piece. Excellent condition accept for broken fingers on back hand, which are broken so cleanly I didn\'t even realize it. I\'ve seen pictures of others with one broken finger which makes it look more obvious. Base is clearly marked. One heel has a little wear as shown in picture as well.
This is a gorgeous ballerina figurine produced by Lladro in Valencia Spain titled \"Death of the Swan\". It was designed by Vincente Martinez, released in 1973 and retired in 2000. It\'s retail selling price was well over $400.00. This piece is made of a fine porcelain material with a glossy finish. It carries the Lladro blue bellflower stamp on the base. This particular marking was used from 1977 to 1984 which makes this a very vintage Lladro. This is a good size piece which displays beautifully. Measurements: 5.5\"\" tall and 10\" at the widest area. It was a difficult figurine to photograph because of the intricacy of the ballerina\'s pose. It looks even nicer in person. The price was drastically reduced when I realized the fingers were broken.
