TheBennett slide attached to the back of Native American bolo ties can aid indetermining the age of a vintage piece. Native American bolo ties were firstintroduced in the early 1940\'s. During this time, the slide types were madewith a thick coin silver wire, sterling was later introduced in the mid 1940s.

Boloslide clasps stamped with \"Bennett Pat Pend c31\" (like this fine example) were made between1957 and 1967. Slides marked \"Bennett Pat Pend\" were made from around1967 until about 1983 at which time the Bennett slide or stamp was eliminated.
