This beautiful mint condition Royal Doulton figurine entitled \"The Master\" was produced from 1967 to 1992. Designed by Peggy Davies, it portrays an elderly gentleman with a walking cane petting his loyal dog, The artist shows in the elderly gentleman\'s expression the special bond between a master and his dog. Green and brown. Older Lion & crown backstamp. Hand initials \"JB\".
Royal Doulton has been producing porcelain ceramics and dinnerware for approximately 200 years. From a meager beginning in 1815, John Doulton, amassed one of the largest pottery and porcelain factories this world has ever known.
Margaret (Peggy) Davies was was one of the most successful modellers/designers for Royal Doulton during the 1950\'s -1970\'s.
The figurine stands aprox. 6 inches in height and 5.5 inches wide at its widest point.
Stamped in green with the Royal Doulton logo, \"MADE IN ENGLAND\"; \"ROYAL DOULTON\"; \"ENGLAND\"; \"THE MASTER\"; \"H.N. 2325\"; \"COPR 1966\"; \"DOULTON & CO LIMITED\"; \"Rd No 926657\"; \"Rd No 49859\"; \"Rd No10723\"; \"Rd No 486/66\". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. I see absolutely no flaws. Displayed in glass cabinet since purchase, and exposed to no direct light. Felt on bottom, no box.
