Offering this beautiful vintage bone china lady figurine by Royal Doulton. Features \"Miss Demure\" wearing pretty pastel colors of pinks, greens, yellows, and purple on her dress, shawl, and hat. She is holding a darker pink umbrella or parasol.
Bottom is marked with the green Royal Doulton stamp with the pattern name in quotations. It also has handwritten in green \"HN 1402\" and \"BD\" or B3? There are other impressed marks that I cannot make out.
This figurine was introduced in 1939 by designer Leslie Harradine. This figurine was discontinued in 1975. Exact date this figurine is made is unclear to me based on the markings although I believe it to be one of the older ones.
She measures approx. 7.5\" tall.
Condition is very good to excellent for being pre-owned and vintage. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, major scratches, gouges, stains, or signs of repair. Does not have the original box (if there was one). It still has a shiny finish and no color fading. The bottom unglazed part shows typical but lightmarkings consistent with normal wear, age, use, sitting on surfaces, and/or storage.
