VINTAGE Doll Lady Head Vase (I cant figure out brand... CAN YOU? symbol stamped) Description: Got this at a \"Im moving and need to downsize my collection\" clean/smoke free sale. Hows that for an adjective?!Anyways I cant figure out the brand of this head vase. The bottom is stamped with a symbol I cant find... CAN YOU?! I think the number is 4121 though.Condition: Good vintage condition with no chips or cracks but some fairly major wear to the paint. Still looks good though!From Jane-on-Hudsn (THANK YOU!)
Just wanted you to know this lady head vase is made by Rubens. Her model # is, as you stated, 4121. She appears to have been repainted. But all Rubens heads have the paint-loss issue, especially in their hair, because Rubens heads were cold-painted, not fired or glazed after painting as other head vases were. So paint wears off or even washes off or comes off when cleaning products are used on them. You\'ve priced her accordingly, and I hope she sells! There are collectors who appreciate Rubens lady heads. This Rubens gal is listed in Barron\'s book (the \"bible\" for lady head collectors) on page 83. You can put that info in your listing. And change your title to Vintage Rubens Lady Head Vase. Hope this helps!
