This lovely seder plate has been in my family I believe since the 1950\'s. It has been displayed in china closets or hung on walls, rather than used for seders. Please check each picture. The third -- of the back -- shows the triangular bracket that is used to hang the plate. As it weighs only 7.4 oz, it is unlikely to cause hanging problems on ANY wall today. The second photo has a more accurate portrayal of the dark-light proportions, whereas the primary photo exaggerates the dark area between the rim and start of the center circle. The copper that is not antiqued is a deep, rich color and is shinier than the pictures convey. The six concave ovals (each 1 7/8\" long), for the symbolic foods, are completely shiny, with no blackening, although photo shadows may give a slightly different appearance. The outlines of letters in each Hebrew word for the foods are engraved, making the words stand out clearly. Between the ovals are raised bunches of grapes, and the amount of red copper and shine seen on them varies when the plate is tilted. The figures in the center of the plate also are not antiqued, and they are raised nicely to stand out. While I have no documentation, my expectation about the figures\' IDs would be Moses, Aaron and Pharaoh - feel free to send me correction if you know otherwise :). The plate is about 9 1/8\" in diameter. Although the photos may give the idea of it being pie-pan shaped, it is really more like a saucer -- rising gradually toward outer edges until they end at 3/4\" high. There is no identification on the back of the plate, but the name Israel appears on the front, above the center figures. I\'m inclined to think this indicates the plate was made in Israel, rather than it being \"part of the story\" portrayed. Again, anyone having definite info is invited to correct or validate what I\'m sharing.
