Eventually the company moved to England and was founded in 1914 and traded until the company demise with the advent of the Ball point pen. I am quiet confident that this pen is a late 1940\'s model.Nib: Not marked but I wouldsay a FINE.Nib Markings:SWAN (Graphic), Blackbird,14 ct, 585.Barrel Color: Beige with Gold plated lever and Black section. Barrel Markings: BLACKBIRD, ENGLAND.Cap Color:Beige with Gold Plated Clip and Cap ring and Black Jewel.Cap Threads:Work absolutely fine.Jewels: One on Cap Black.Capped Measurement: 5 1/8\".Posted Measurement: 5 3/4\"Filling System: Lever fillAny Issues:Some loss of plating at top of the clip.Service/Restoration Details: Cleaned and polished. New ink sac fitted and tested for functionality.Other Comments: A beautiful pen that has a semi flexible nib writes smoothly too.It isready to go to its new owner.
