By training, I am a clinical biologist and have a lot of laboratory hours under my belt. I have my own gold and silver testing equipment and understand the results. I will be accurate and honest in my descriptions. If it tests positive as bakelite, 24 K Gold or Sterling Silver, I will explain the results and you can rest assured my descriptions are accurate.

Costume jewelry hoarder by night

I grew up watching my grandmother and mother collect beautiful pieces of vintage costume jewelry. I loved to talk about CJ; I loved to hold CJ in my hands; and I loved the smell of CJ. After I inherited many pieces from my grandmother, I became more interested in collecting and dealing myself. Now that I have young girls, I have found an activity we can do together: going to sales, rummaging through boxes, cleaning, appraising... it has continued as a family tradition with the next generation.
