Amazing workmanship for such a petite ring. Handmadewith a lot of detail to the design. The colors are a gorgeous turquoise andbright blue. This ring was bought on oneof the Arizona Native American reservations from which I purchased jewelry formy store. I found it very interesting when they would tell me the story behindeach piece of jewelry purchased. Ithought this would make a charming gift for a little girl. It is a beautifullydetailed Zuni Sunface ring set in silver.An adult could wear it on their pinky finger. Ring size 5 3/4 inches. Sunface measures 1/2 inch circumference . c. 1970s Polishing cloth will add luster and shine to the silver.

The design requires exacting cuts and an extremely high level of skillto appropriately create the fine inlay used in the Sunface. The face of thering is adorned with inlaid hand-cut Turquoise, Coral, Jet and Mother of Pearlstones set in a Sunface shaped sterling silver ring setting. Turquoise makes up the inlaid pedals. ALL ofthe stones are firmly set within a sterling bezel. Raindrops at the base of thebezel are adding fullness & depth.

To the Zuni, the Sunface represents prosperity, happiness, peace, hope,optimism, and positive energy. The sun gives warmth and makes life, growth, andbeginnings possible. The sun also represents stability and continuity. The twosections represent two important concepts. The first is the pairing of oneselfwith the family. The other meaning is to symbolize the coming and going of thesun; sunrise and sunset or the day and night.The continuity of these events gives hope and stability to the Zuni, andagain, neither can exist without the other.

The pictures show the condition of this delightful little ring. It is inexcellent condition never worn. The artist did not sign the ring.
