Vintage Steampunk-ish Sewing Machine Necchi BU Nova Completely Restored, includes original owners manual, and complete set of original accessories. This machine does have crazing / alligatoring of the original finish. While visually imperfect, it does not affect the performance of the machine. The last owner gave up on this Necchi because of wiring problems and the finish. I bought the machine to keep it from being scrapped. With time and patience, a compete restoration was done and it now sews flawlessly. I have a passion for restoring old machines and want to see this one have a new life.Here is what was done in this restoration:Replacement of all wiring, lead cord and controller foot are new.
Replaced motor with powerful, new 1.5 AMP Alphasew motor.
Bulb was replaced with LED for energy efficiency, and light without heat.
Cleaned and polished all exterior surfaces and seal with 2 coats of synthetic automotive wax.
Cleaned and degreased all interior parts and surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove old, dried oil.
Lubricated all moving parts with Tri-Flow.This machine is running in tip-top condition and will sew through anything, including 8 layers of denim and 4 layers of leather. From the heaviest to the most delicate fabrics, this vintage Italian beauty can do it all.
