Vintage, Very rare BMF Spoon and Fork, Pure Nickle Silver, 1870:

This spoon and fork, from the Berndorf Metalware Factory, BMF, in Austria, is dated from between 1870 and 1875. The early mark is from the Alexander Schoeller items, which were made with pure nickle silver. The mark consists of a double headed eagle, the coat of arms for Austria-Hungary and the inscription \"BMF\" with the M and F joined. This is a very rare set. You can check the mark at ascasonline.org, cursor down to Table 4, Period, Mark and Comment - number 26 circa 1870 to 1875.
The spoon is 8 1/4\" long and the fork is 8 1/8\" long. Both in excellent condition.
