Description For your consideration is a very niceVintage WW2/WWII ZIPPO 3- Barrel Lighter with an Insignia or Emblem. I took very clear and close-up pictures of the lighter to show any imperfections. I don\'t sell many lighters and certainly not ones of this vintage so I may miss something in the description. To the untrained eye this one does not appear to have been fired as the wick (while dark and discolored) is still plush and does not look scorched.
Condition: The lighter itself has some minor imperfections including a small seam crack on the lid which can be clearly seen in the last picture. There are also some linear grooves on the surface of the lighter (all sides and I don\'t know if this was done by design). The individual from whom I purchased this lighter told me that it belonged to an uncle who served in WWII. The lighter is said to have a 18kt gold emblem soldered to the face. The emblem was at one time a personal medal or pin earned in WWII. I cannot confirm whether the emblem is gold, gold filled, brass, etc.....The lid, while tightly secured when locked down has some slight play when opened (in other words, it\'s not perfectly tight).
