Vintage Waterman 502 Fountain Pen In Gold/brown Marble. From The 1940's.:
This is a Waterman's 502 fountain pen in a Gold/Brown marble which dates from the 1940's. It has a capped length of 13cm and is a lever-filler with gold-plated trim.
The barrel imprint reads 'Waterman's. Made in England. 502'. The imprint on the Fine nib reads 'Waterman's. 14ct. W-2'. It can be seen that the cap has a single band and the clip has the Waterman's name running vertically.
The pen is in very nice condition. There are no cracks, scratches or dings, the barrel imprint is well defined and there is minimal surface wear. There is no brassing to the trim and the nib is excellent.
I have overhauled the pen and replaced the sac. the lever operation is smooth, the pen fills nicely and writes very well.
This is a very attractive Waterman's pen in good condition and fully functional. It would look at home in any collection and I'm sure that the buyer will be pleased with it. As always, however, a full refund will be offered if he/she is not completely satisfied with the purchase.
