Here is a vintage doll of a \'homespun\' style but it is actually a manufactured cloth doll
The most interesting thing about the doll is the GREAT WIG !
I don\'t know anything about doll wigs except I\'ve looked at a lot of them online
This one looks like a custom made human hair wig, especially if you look at the inside (photos 4 & 5)
Perhaps it\'s human hair and perhaps not -
If you know how to tell what it is, please let me know.
- height is 18\"
- weight is 10 oz.
- shoes are button style slippers and socks have lacy trim
- pinafore (with bow in back), dress and pantaloons are all original
- the body is probably cotton on top of firm stuffing
- the head looks like it\'s made with a cross stitch fabric covering
- the head \'wobbles\' naturally because of the way it is attached to the body
- the tiny teddy bear is very sweet
- the wig is terrific and would be very usable on other dolls as it is completely removable
