DESCRIPTION: Vintage leather motorcycle coat

A stylish vintage full length leather motorcycle coat. It dates from the 1940s and was manufactured in Germany. The label reads \"Ernst Lichtenberg Magdeburg, Leden and Regen - Bekleidung\". It is a high quality and beautifully made motorcycle coat of the period with very thick leather that has survived the years in very good order. The leather shows some surface wear and marks but is still very soft and supple. It features the classic styling of the period with a split at the back to aid the rider in mounting and dismounting the motorcycle, and two external pockets and one internal pocket. The collar can be buttoned up to keep the weather out. The lining inside the coat looks to be a wool blend and has a few minor marks and has survived the years in very good order. The coat is done up with a leather belt and also a strap that attaches to loops and buckles at the front of the coat. A classic old motorcycle coat. There is no size label remaining. It would be suitable for someone who wears large to extra large sizes in coats and jackets. I am 6ft 2 inches tall and take an XL size in clothes, the coat fits me very well. The measurements are as follows: armpit to armpit = 22 inches, chest 44 inches, length = 46 inches shoulder to hem, sleeves = 24 1/2 inches shoulder seam to cuff. It is very heavy - around 3 kilograms.
