Condition: This ring is in fantastic condition. Both the deep engraving, and the fine engraving are in superb shape. All details of the ring are present, and in great condition. The surface blemishes are very minimal. Any scratchesare light in nature. The ring does exhibit slight discoloration, as is typical of vintage sterling silver.

Gemstone: The red oval cabochon cut gemstone APPEARS to be coral. The coral measures approximately 8.56 x 7.11 millimeters.

History: Carl Schon was a Baltimore, Maryland jeweler who is revered in the Maryland area. He is best known for his workon sterling silver with gold polychrome accents. He is alsowell knownfor his early 20th century modernistjewelryincorporating nature motifs.He worked at his shop on 109 W. Saratoga Street in Baltimore Maryland from 1915 - 1924.
