Lot consists of threefrontis plates to Cook\'s Voyages. These are threeengravings that were each the first page in each of Cook\'s threevoyages. I long ago sold whatever else I had, but these seemedparticularly nice so are still with me. The typography on each sheet is ornate,decorative and of the period. Each page also has an engraved image as described above.I can\'t find the title page but as I recall it was from theearly 1800s (ca 1810) - a London edition. All charming, someirregularity to the edges. Suitable for framing individually or as a group.The Voyages of Capt. Cook were very popular and they were reprinted endlessly so there aremany editions and many sizes. A benchmark date for Cook\'s 3rd Voyage atlas firstedition came out in London 1784, my guess these 25-35 years later. Sheet size on each image is about 8x10.\" All three pages with some marginal discoloration and some chipping to the edges, still charming, antique and affordable for the lover of thing Polynesian & Pacific
