I\'m listing this as fine - mainly because of the quality of the work - not necessarily due to the materials. Very intricately strung miniature pearls ( these must be faux as they are so perfect ) with silver clasp that has tiny set stones that look like raw cut diamonds. I have no way to test the clasp material ( don\'t have a test kit and probably wouldn\'t be able to read it accurately if I did ) - but am assuming it is sterling and that the stones may be a real something. I can\'t imagine anyone going to the trouble of setting such tiny stones if they were fake. So I\'ll leave it to someone who is more knowledgable than me to determine just what they might be. They appear to be all present although the two on the ends are darkened.
Condition of necklace - has tiny spot right up by the clasp on one side where the string has popped - you should be able to view in the photos. While I was looking at the pixs I studied the other side of the clasp and decided it was not consistent - it looks to have been repaired in the past as one of the hooks on the clasp has not been utilized. The side with the dangling string could probably be repaired if you have one of those curved needles and it\'s tiny enough and a good eye - none of which I have. Or you could use a dab of glue to insure it doesn\'t undo any further and then give it to a bride to be to enjoy who loves vintage. Length is a hair under 13 inches and a bit over 1 inch wide. Color is a beautiful creamy ivory. If anyone has info on this on the age and where it was made that they\'d be willing to share, I\'d love to hear from you.
