1930s Heissner XL 22\" German Terracotta Garden Gnome With Two Planters 4577This is an early Heissner 1930s extra large garden Gnome terracotta red pottery holding a pot in each hand. The art work is vivid with no touch ups and much detail. He has excellent original paint (two small areas w/peeling paint), original laquer, each flower pot has minor inside edge wear and has open drip holes. He stands an impressive 22.5\" (57.5 mm) tall x 14\" at its widest x 8\" deep, 10.5 lbs. He has no bonks, cracks or chips and appears it was never used outdoors. The red clay pottery is thick walled and I found no markings. I have included a photocopy of a 1934 catalog I found online, pictured top row no.753. A great find for the collector.
