Vtg 1945 RARE Occupied Japan Floral Ceramic Cow Creamer Pitcher Wonderful Cond.:
$38.99

(Please note; Per Antique Trader Pottery and Porcelain Ceramics Price Guide a rare occupied Japan cow creamer in this same shape, lying down, legs folded underneath, irregular spots, but with a slightly different graduation of colors of green and brown on cream, ink stamped “Made in Occupied Japan”, rare, mint, 5.25” x 7” is worth $69 to $75.)

Offered here is this creamer colored in bold magenta flowers, surrounded with green leaves and light pink large nostrils and ears. Her necklace, tail and forelock are also done in this mid to vibrant green water color type wash. Hooves and eyes are accented in black. Horns are awash in golden yellow ochre and the base or background color is ivory.

She looks happy, as she is mooing and looking upward, saying in anticipation, please take me home and use me.

SHE IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE PRE-OWNED CONDITION:

Ø Her bottom is marked MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN (c.1945-1952).

Ø There are no chips, cracks or hairlines.

Ø There is a little beige colored, about 2mm long by 2mm wide irregular shaped oval slightly raised area on the right side of her lower lip. It definitely has glaze over it and does not feel rough, so it was made that way and is simply a firing flaw. Although this is shown in the photos, I also wanted you to have a written description of it.

Ø There is normal age crazing on her outside, the level of which can be seen without a magnifying glass and is what I would term light to moderate, with no discolored staining or toning. However on the inside there is a bit of light staining to the craze lines, mainly around the upper inner portion, going down approximately ½ inch.

Ø The inner and outer rim edge on both her mouth and opening for the liquid both looks and feels smooth.

Ø Approximate measurements: 7” long span from mouth to outermost part of tail x 3.5” width x 5.25” tall to top of her horns.

Ø Tail, which is the handle, is firmly attached, with no separation issues.

Please See Photos for Details and Keep in Mind there is Some Camera Distortion and Foreshortening of Her Overall Shape, in Trying to Show You Various Angles and in the Much Enlarged Shots.

The Most Accurate Representations of Her Actual Shape are those photos taken from a Straight Side Viewpoint and not from a Canted or Offset Angle.
