Vtg 1959 Powder Makeup Compact Gold Geometric Design Volupte USA TARA 5th Ave NYThis is truly a beautiful piece carefully preserved since the late 1950\'s. Hand written note detailing provenance included, picture #11. Originated from TARA Fifth Avenue - New York. Compact is made by Volupte USA. It has never been used! Comes complete with original felt pouch and new original powder puff inside compact. **Listed as used because it is pre-owned.** Heavy gold toned mirrored compact features a geometric design with raised flower accents adorned with ruby-like stones. Inside the compact, the clip, holding loose powder and applicator in place, slides to the right for opening. There are a couple minor flaws from age (not from use):1. Very small, 2mm, scratch on back right side of compact, picture # 5.
2. Interior mirror showing signs of age with small \'ghost spot\' or discoloration area on the upper left hand side of mirror, picture # 7. Hand written note explains this as a Mother\'s Day gift in 1959. Note will be included with compact in pouch.
