This listing is for a Vintage 1986 Franklin Mint Gibson Girl Doll with Infant \"A Mothers Love\" Original Box. Lovely doll in excellent vintage pre-owned condition, free of any chips, cracks or repairs. \"A Mother\'s Love\" was created by the Franklin Mint in 1986 and is the 3rd doll in the Gibson Girl line of dolls.
This lady of upper class elegance stands approx. 20 inches tall. Her head does not articulate (will not turn or move). Porcelain hands to just above the elbows, feet or just above the knees, head & breastplate; soft body & molded porcelain, black glazed, mid calf shoes that won\'t come off. Honey blond, up-swept synthetic wig & painted eyes. She also has a gold wedding ring that is painted onto her left ring finger.
Dressed in light mauve brocade, trimmed in white lace, with a high neckline. White cotton pantaloons and a white cotton slip. The mother is posed to hold her infant with a loving look on her beautiful face & her hands are lightly cupped for holding the baby.
The 6 inch infant is completely soft bodied with porcelain hands and arms to just above the elbows & a porcelain head with painted blue eyes. The back of her head is etched with her maker - Elke Huchens - a world renowned, award winning doll artist. Dressed in a white, lace trimmed cotton, full length gown with pink ribbon trim that tightens at the baby\'s neck.All will ship in the original box, included are the stand and a clear plastic dust cover, sorry no COA. Please note; the original box does show signs of shelf-wear form storage but no pen markings or tears (see picture 12).
