This vintage late \'40\'s or 1950\'s rice paper and bamboo parasol has a bright yellow background. There are hand painted pink, blue, green, red and white flowers and accents. The inside is also painted with blue and yellow flowers. It was made in Japan. It is just over 23-1/2 inches tall. It is about 27 inches in diameter. This parasol is covered with a coating to preserve the rice paper. There are many colorful threads on the inside going around the slats in white, yellow, red and green. No makers marks found. It shows some light vintage wear on the paint. There are no holes or tears in the paper. Overall, it is in great condition. It opens and closes smoothly. It does not stay open on its own, but must be held open. Check photos closely. Great for Asian and eclectic decor or as a photo prop!I will gladly adjust and combine shipping.
