Online information about KPM (Krister Porcelain Manufacturing):Carl Franz Krister founded his facility in 1831... Due to the quality of the porcelain, which was exceptional, Krister was able to obtain many wealthy customers. Krister\'s company became quite well known, after winning medals at the 1857 Paris exhibition. Once the business became established, the company began using its own type of base mark. The mark still included the initials \"KPM\". Recognition was again achieved when his porcelain earned medals at the 1867 Paris exhibition. Carl Krister died in 1869. His company was one of the largest led by a single person. It remained a family business until 1920 when it was changed into a limited corporation. In 1921, the Rosenthal group was the majority holding company. The name was unchanged until 1945 when Waldenburg, Germany was occupied by Russian troops.Based on the information about KPM, this art pottery dates somewhere between the mid-1800\'s and mid-1900\'s

Nice bright, vibrant colors with no fading
Gorgeous iridescent purple paint on the sides and inside
Gold edges and details
Pink, green, purple and black on white porcelain
So lovely - the gold picks up the light and really gives it personality
And the painting has its original \"texture\" - you can tell this was hand painted, not \"printed on\"...

No large chips, cracks or stains
Two tiny 1/32\" flea bites in the black edge here and there, and a few rubs in the glaze of the iridescent purple side (see closeups)
Some very slight rubs / loss in the gold handles (on the edges)
