This is a nice vintage antique German Benno Kogl signed oil on board painting of 4 cats in a field landscape. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some minor wear seen in pic 10 as well as some scratches to the frame and it comes exactly as shown. The frame measures 13\" x 11\" and the sight is 9\" x 7\"The German animal painter Benno Kögl was born 1892 in Greding. He was a student of Hans von Hayek (1869-1940) and Philipp Röth (1841-1921). From 1919, he lived and worked in Munich, where he became well-known as a painter of cats (\"Katzen-Kögl\" [Cat-Kögl]), following Julius Adam (1852-1913).
