Relisting due to non-payment. Sigh.Beautiful Soviet lacquer artware panel made in Fedoskino depicting two peasant girls in traditional Russian clothes. Dated 1988 and signed by the artist G. Rogacheva, possibly Galina Rogacheva - you can read more about her dynasty of Fedoskino artistshere.Here aretwo furtherexamplesof Rogacheva\'s work.Very delicate paintwork, rich glossy colours of predominantly red, blue and gold hues.Fedoskino, a small village near Moscow is the oldest centre for Russian lacquer artware and has been producing miniatures and decorative panels since the late 18th century. The difference between Fedoskino ware and Palekh is that Palekh usestemperaand Fedoskino is painted with oil.Fedoskino characters are more realistic and the images are almost 3D in their execution,whereasPalekh subjects are more stylised and have a 2D quality.Please note that it was hard to photograph this panel as the paints used are highly reflective - please take a look at all the photos to get a better idea of what the panel looks like in real life.Freeworldwidepostage, no customs charges.ConditionGreat vintage condition.
