Absolutely Beautiful, Rare Native American or South American Indian Woven Fabric.
Could be anywhere from the early 1900\'s to 1940\'s.
Made 100% of supple wool, hand-dyed and woven with extremely vibrant colors. Green, Blue, Red and Black on a prefect cream background.
Thick weave, beautiful double sided piece, image is so interesting, looks like ethnic folk-art, three sided abstract figures, early Op-Art. The repetitive Imagery is very beautiful!
I don\'t know the true origin of the piece, but it reads as a tasteful piece, primitive ethnic but not Eastern or too south american. Some Guatemalan art has some similarities along with Hopi Native American Imagery!
