Purist Jade Collectors, here is a lovely find. I found out a long time ago that many, many necklaces that are called \"Jade\" are not genuine. One of the best clues is to look for suptle shades of green in the beads; they should not all be the exact same color green. Look for the luster that you can see deeply into. Look for beads that are icy cold and pretty heavy. Look for hand-tied knots between each bead. And, most importantly, examine the clasp. This Clasp is a stunning single Jade Cabochon surrounded by thick 14K Braided Rope Gold. Clasp is signed 14K, and has a secure safety catch (simply press lever down and insert deep into clasp - (then attach safety catch)). Clasp is cleverly rounded so that the clasp can be the \"Star\" of the Jade Beads (elegantly worn to the side, or at the bottom, or at the back of neck). Lying flat, Necklace measures 18\" long. Beads are 9mm, and are full of a life of their own. Also, no beads feel the way genuine jade feels cupped in your hand ~ hard to describe, but jade collectors know what I mean. Gorgeous Necklace for a lucky lady.
