Lovely Vintage wall mirror from Victorian Period in a Country Regency style

Construction:

A delightful vintage mahoganymirror(stripped to look like pine), probably having come from a dressing table. With attractive fretwork and hand carving to a crested top and bevelled glass. It has a very rustic appearance and looks great on display.

There is a small hand written sticker on the reverse saying it was bought on Portobello Road

Condition:

The frame is in good vintage condition. It has some general wear and scuffs commensurate with age. Some of the joints are uneven with wide gaps all adding to its rustic appeal. The glass has quite a bit of age related wear with considerable tarnishing, foxing and bubbling of the silvering whichgives it character and show its age and is still clear enough to see one\'s reflection. The curve of the frame does not fully cover the glass on the left side and can just see the edge of the glass especially from below. There are 2 screw holes on either edge of the frame that would have originally mounted the mirror. Please view photos carefully as they give a more detailedcondition report. Would certainly suit someone looking for that vintage look.
