Chief Justice Melville Fulleradministering the oath of office to William McKinley as 25th President of theUnited States on March 4, 1897; OVER 119 YEARS AGO. This 1 x 1.5 INCH roundsepia picture and attached ribbon of McKinley was patented on Tuesday, July17th 1894 by the Whitehead & Hoag Co. and manufactured in 1896(date on leadpiece between back of picture and ribbon) and is now available for sale here on. The pin and attached ribbon are in excellent shape, the colors arevibrant. Even though the ribbon has issues, overall this ORIGINAL item is veryattractive and would make a fine addition to any collectors collection. Besidesfrom just age issues with the ribbon, I could not see any issues with thebutton portion. The pin that would attach the ribbon to one\'s clothing wasabsent.
