WILLIAM T. BARRY [1784 1835] was an early Americanstatesman and juristwho was appointed as the 7th United States Postmaster General by President Andrew Jackson on March 9, 1829served until his death in 1835. Upfor sale is an original documentsigned by William T. Berry. Thedocument is for the Appointmentof a Mr. Braverter Gray, Esqr.as Postmaster of Hillsboro, in the Countyof Hillsboro, State of New Hampshire. Document is dated fourteenth day of April,1834 and issigned\"W.T.Barry\" in black ink. The document is also affixed with the official seal of the Post Office Department in the lower left hand above theNorthern Divisionand is seen in the second scan. The document measures approximately10 x 16 inches and it has little toning, edge wear, very small fold marks, with very minimal seperation, there is one very small pin hole with the paper folded inward to the left of \"of Hillsboro\"(which can be folded back to cover the incident). There is NO tape on the torso or any repairs made to this180 year-old desirable document. The autograph is authentic and the document is a verydistinguishedcomposition to obtain the autograph of this noted Postmaster General.
