A good copyof this scarce and highly collectable children\'sclassic.The second book in the Winnie the Pooh Seriesfollowing When We Were Very Young and preceding Now We Are Six and The House atPooh Corner.

Deep greenboards) with lovely gilt images ofthecharacters- Christopher Robin and his fishing rod with Pooh. Ithasgreen decorated endpapers. 159 pages. Manybeautifulillustrations by Ernest Shepard.

Good condition - Covers in overall good condition;clean and bright; a few small marks to covers (see photos). Gilt still prettysharp to front cover and spine – slight fading to gilt line on edge of frontcover. Light wear to edges of book; top / bottom of spine a little bumped witha couple of very small tears. Corners bumped and a little worn; top corner offront cover a little frayed. Rear cover has crease / bobble line across topcorner. Internally good condition - Binding is good, tight – no loose pages; hinges firm. Bookhas 2 inscriptions / dates to first blank page; first [page of text has twosmall underlinings (2cm long) – no scribbles, no colouring in book which iscommon in childrens’ books. Page 17 has closed tear half length of page whichhas been repaired with tape but this yellowed with age. P66 has 4cm tear againstedge inner edge (where it is bound in to book) ie bottom 4cm of page are freefrom main text block. Book has been read and there are a few finger-marksthroughout. Occasional foxing spot. Endpapers a little yellowed. Book has slight lean.
