Youare offerding on a WONDERFUL 19c figured walnut inland antique restored and rewaxedjewellery box. Dates approximately 1870/1910.

FULLY LOCKS

InWONDERFUL restored condition.

Nomissing or replaced timber. Slight gap to the top front. Otherwise an unusual handcarved box.

Morethan likely from the Black Forest region as many of these chip carved boxes arefrom, although they were produced all over Scandinavia.

Boxretains the original lock, top catch and hinges. Supplied with a silk tasseland Victorian key that FULLY LOCKSthe box. It is quite fiddly but does the job okay. Instruction given once sold.

Comprising a wonderful interior that has beenrelined in expensive velvet material of the highestquality.

All the added dividers withinthe box can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. Beneath the base ofthe box has also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.
