The Nineteenth Wisconsin Infantry was a 3-year unit organized in the winter of 1861- 62. It took part in the siege of Petersburg and the engagement at Fair Oaks where it suffered a loss of 136 wounded or captured.

The unit also participated in the battle of Drewry\'s Bluff. This is a must have for the Wisconsin collector especially with the rarity of Wisconsin Civil War items.

Photos were probably between 31st March 1862 and taken prior to 30th May 1862 as one man photographed didn\'t enlist until 31st March and some men in photos are discharged after this date.
