WW1 Imperial M1916 German Steel Helmet GBN 64 \"Bing\" Manufacturer:
$208.50
Up for sale is a WW1 M1916 Imperial German Steel Helmet manufactured by Gebruder Bing in Nuremberg Germany. Gebruder Bing was a toy manufacturer before the war. Helmet is a size 64 and has very, very, little of its original paint. You can see traces of gold paint on the helmet which makes me believe this was a Victory helmet painted gold for the VFW or American Legion. It is marked GBN 64. Some one when removing the gold paint removed the original paint as well. The 3 rivets are there with one of them missing a tab. Some pitting on the left side of the front bill and rust inside. Definitely a candidate for restoration. See photos for condition and ask all questions. Please check out my other sales for more WW1 items.
