WW1 Model 1904 McClellan US Army saddle made by W H and M co:

WW 1, 12 inch seat, McClellan 1904 russet, Cavelry saddle. All is original except for the stirrup straps, girth and girth strap. I also replaced missing hardwear in 2 spots.
The new parts where obtained from the gentleman that makes saddles and parts for western movies. He did all th dances with wolves take. I added all the leather tie downs with brass connectors. All new items are period accurate.
The hoods have US stamped on them. Prior to me, someone put metal rounds in. They are the M you see on the stirrup cover. It is small indentations on the hood.
The only markings, other than the \"12 inch seat\" is on the quarter strap safes. It has W.H. &M CO with JEO stamped into the leather.This is a great historical piece. Only one I could find with \"US\" on it. One fender keeper needs restitching, leather is still supple. Thier is wear on the cushion on the horse side of the rounds.
