Trench Art designates objects, usually jewelry and desktop accessories, made by soldiers on active duty during war time. Mostly trench art objects come from
the periods of WWI and WWII.
In this lot we have a trench art ring from WWI. The ring is large, men\'s size. Made of aluminum with signet-type shape of the front. Three inlaid stripes ofdifferent materials (Brass, Copper and black Enamel) form the German Flag. Those type of rings were made as battlefield memorabilia by soldiers for soldiers.
The original owner\'s initials are engraved on one side \"VA\" and a date on the other, which is partly worn out, usually 1914-16.
The ring has expected wearing due time - scratches all over, small dents and line-dents.
