Excellent condition and guaranteed original WWI ImperialGerman Model 1914 Mauser bayonet. Maker marked “SAMSON WERKE” on the right sidericasso and has a Fraktur letter proof mark on the blade spine. Left side ofpommel also has a Fraktur proof mark. Blade has beautiful original brightfinish, a nice original factory sharpened edge, and no nicks or dings. Remainingmetal finish is original bright with a little gray. Wood grips have originalfinish and a good tight fit, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correctoriginal steel scabbard that has excellent original black paint finish with alittle scattered flaking, no dents. Scabbard has a Fraktur letter proof mark onthe frog stud. A beautiful WWI German M1914 Mauser bayonet that would be veryhard to upgrade!
