WWI m1905 bayonet chromed for parade/dress use made for the 1903 Springfield and the M1 Garand. Has SA (Springfield Armory) and the date made (1912) at the base on one side, and number 543536 at the base of the blade on the other side. Does show some tiny amount of surface corrosion and the use of fine sand paper or emery cloth to refresh blade. I did not try and restore these issues which I believe could possible be buffed or worse case rechromed. Bayonet is in great condition with what looks to be factory sharpening , possibly never sharpened. No need to sharpen a parade bayonet. Edge is good, point is sharp, and the blade,guard and pommel look to have about all the chrome plating intact. The edge has a few small pits towards front and 1 or 2 the rest of the length of the blade I should have not taken the pictures on this table, hard to see, but edge is in really nice shape workable for sure.
