Up for sale is this extremelynice Satsuma tea from the mid-1940s by my guess (it appears like the type ofset brought home with military after the war). The pieces all have the Shimazumoon and the style and markings appear to be a late Uchida but I don’t know forsure as I am traveling and don’t have my Satsuma reference book. As the photosshow the piece is minus 1 cup (this kills me as it is 95% complete and inexcellent condition) which is why the starting price is so low ($49.99 is cheapjust for the teapot, creamer and sugar). The pieces are in exceptional condition withno real noticeable loss of gold or paint. Delightful “crackle” effect to theglaze.

Teapot (pot and lid): 4.75” H X 7.5”in across at widest point (handle to spout)

Creamer and Sugar (pitcher/bowl andlids): 4” H X 5” across at widest point (handle to handle or spout)

Cups (5): 2” H X 4.5” across atwidest point (lip to handle)

Saucers (6): 5.5 across
