Art Deco, Disney Bambi baby fawn and its mother.
They are standing on a patch of grass with yellow flowers and a tree trunk behind them.
Nicely cast and hand painted.
It has the impressed mark Walt Disney Product Copyright to the side of the base. Also signed impressed J GOODAMI or similar to this, I am unable to read for sure.
Bambi was based on the book \"Bambi, a life in the woods\" by Austrian author Felix Salten.
Made into a film in 1942, Disney took the liberty of changing bambi from his original species of a Roe Deer to a white tailed deer as Roe Deer do not inhabit the USA.
In good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few minor paint flakes. Couple of drill holes in the plaster at the back suggests it may have been designed as a lamp base.
Measures just under 8.5 inches tall and just over 5 across.
