~ Waterman Model 14 ~ Eyedropper Fountain Pen
- Sold for Repair or Parts , (but it will still write) The # 4 nib has a base crack as shown, and the non original cap has one small lip chip.(see chip in photo) Cap is a taper fit that fits on perfectly & posts perfectly. Pen body is faded to a dark brown, the cap is darker and almost black, a full 7\" posted
- The nib still writes well as is, some flex even, Nibs with base cracks can work fine for years, No guarantees obviously, there are people who repair such a thing. Nice large feed to match the # 4 nib.
- The factory imprint is quite crisp Clear & very readable, patent dates (1899, & 1903) It has the ideal globe, The model # (14) on the end is clear. There is \"WATERMAN\"Patent information on the feed also :-)
- Excellent Body , Section & Feed. These are all good parts.
- The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation.
- I used Pelikan Royal Blue 4001 , & Diamine Jade Green ink to make the sample shown. Sample shown is from dipping, but the section threads are excellent & tight precision fitting, I would expect it to be a leak free pen especially with a little silicone on the threads.
- The Pen feed ink channel is clear. the pen body inside has not been cleaned.
- The pen is approx 5 & 5/16\" capped and 7\" posted ~ Good Size Pen
