This very special piece designed by William Petersen.
The Whale Boat (S-13) is a big departure from other Wee Forest Folk styles, crafted to look like scrimshaw right down to the etchings on the figures. This piece was released in 1997 and RETIRED in March 2007. This figure has so much character each crew member has a grand old seafaring name. There\'s Justus Sampson, first mate; Enoch Hookway, harpooner; Ichabod Paddoc, boat steerer; Abraham Weaver, green hand mid-ship oar; Horace Putnam, seaman mid-ship oar; and Friday Ascension, seaman stroke oar.
The piece is 6.5\" long, 4.18\" wide, and 1.75 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or blemishes. sorry no box
